Leon changed his name to Roy Shaefer. It is said that leon was involved with the Al Capone gang in Chicago and spent time in the Louisiana Penitentary. Was pardoned because he served eroically during a Yellow Fever outbreak in the prison.
Served as an officer in Coast Guard for many years.
