4. Clement MINOR

Clement was commissioned Ensign of the 1st New London company in May1708, and
Lieut., May 1715.  Hempstead's Diary states under 8 Apr 1740: "Lt Clement
Mineraged 71 & more Died of a plurisie", and two days later, "I [went to the]
funeral of Lt. Clement Minor...the son of Deacon Clement Minor...he survived
his father near 40 years.

His will was dated 18 Jan 1737/8 and was witnessed by Joseph Minor, J.
Hempstead, and Jesse Minor.

William was commissioned Lieut. of the 2nd company, Lyme, CT, May 1713.He was
Deputy for Lyme, May 1717.

William survived his wife and his estate was distributed in 1726 to histwelve
children, all but Christopher being named.

6 - Stephen (b 1705), of Winchester, VA.; m ca. 1732, Athalia Updike, of N.J.;

Thus, Sarah may have had a middle name of Ann [or Anna].

The Colonial Dames XVII organization accepts the Compendium of American Genealogy as authentic, but will not accept the Thomas Minor Descendants book written by John Minor as such.
